Oh my goodness! I've been battling this one for about a year and a half myself. With the prospect of seating (and buckling!) four kids, I've been puzzling it out and just this week managed to come up with a scenario to let me keep my SUV. I'm sooo sorry you've been sent to the other side!
I'm sorry. My husband and I have started talking about my getting something different. For some insane reason he likes minivans. Some time ago I told him he could drive one. Now when he brought it up I thought about it, no I actually considered it, for a bit. It happens to the best of us...
we have talked about it, and we know we need one, but I just can't bring myself to admit it. It is like no one will ever believe that a former "wild-child" is driving a grocery getter.....
arrrghhh....
I am sure that it won't be long and I will be in the same boat.
I have been tempted and I only have one kid. we rented one earlier this summer when we were at cape cod and I loved it! I think my friends would disown me if I did get one...but oh it was so nice and user friendly!
Hey...I've got an idea...let's start a new trend...driving a minivan is COOL! Sure it might take us awhile to change Americans minds but we could do it!! We could launch a whole campain...all we need is a snappy slogan...ideas??
I'm sorry! I'm going to try and avoid one as well. I guess we'll just have to see how many kids we eventually have and play it by ear. They do seem convenient...
I *love* my minivan. But then, I had to come to terms with the whole minivan thing since we've got triplets plus one... there was no getting around the minivan thing.
After a long battle with infertility - a lot of tears, a lot of depression, a lot of shots and invasive medical stuff - I am now the proudest mother of twins. I am having so much fun being the mom to these little blessings, so much fun in fact that we are now embarking on another round of treatment - going to give it a try with a couple of our frozen embryos.

Yikes. I'm sorry. My condolences.
Right now, we have a Honda Pilot and we just bought a new Mazda6. Trying to avoid minivan status a little longer here...

I'm sorry. I'm going to be there myself pretty soon...
Bye cute little Civic...
Oh well, I'm there and I am OK. Surely very very convenient.
