The ticker

Ok - I know it's a little silly. But I've gone ahead and done it - I've added the pregnancy ticker to my page. I couldn't help myself.

the barfy feeling continues today. We tried a new strategy this morning - J brought me a piece of toast to eat before I got out of bed. That helped immensely - I was able to get up & shower & dress without feeling like I was going to barf. But as soon as I got in the car to go to work the feeling was back. I nibbled on pretzels the whole way in (I always have snacks in my car!) and now I'm drinking a carbonated water. I guess this is just how it's going to be, so I will learn to live with it.

We are scheduled to go skiing this sunday - just a local place, very low key skiing. I was planning to go, but I'm not so sure now. I don't know if I can handle an hour in the car, and probably skiing won't be fun if I feel like I'm going to barf the whole time. I guess I'll decide later in the week.

if nausea gets too bad, zofran is supposed to be really good. At my worst, rice and baguette were the only things I could eat. I recommend you eat small portions as often as possible. I really hope it will get better. But forget the ski... too dangerous!

PS love the ticker. This thingy really helped me believe that I was pregnant for real...

congrats on getting the ticker! i'm still too afraid to get one...but you may have inspired me. i think i need to acknowledge that my pregnancy is real, regardless of whether it continues all the way to a newborn healthy baby. so thanks for the inspiration!

Yep, I just put my tickers up too... one for ultrasound and one for pregnancy. This is real, and I'm gonna be happy about it!

I hope the morning sickness keeps itself in check.

16 weeks today and I still can't put a ticker on my blog. I lived off of potatoes, bread, rice, saltines and pasta for a few weeks. Hopefully it won't last long for you too.
