no much to report - 20 weeks 6 days

We had another OB appointment yesterday - and happy to report that there really isn't much to report. We are having a very uneventful pregnancy so far.

These appointments basically consist of getting weighed, peeing in a cup, taking my blood pressure, doing a quick cervix check and then a very quick ultrasound to see both babies heartbeats - it lasts about 10 -15 minutes. We don't listen to the heartbeats because you really can't tell which is which by just listening - so he takes a quick look on the ultrasound. They were both very busy as usual, and it's always great to see. We didn't get any great pictures though - I have one that's so fuzzy I don't think you could make anything out, but I'll try to get it scanned and posted in the next few days anyway.

We have another detailed 'growth' ultrasound in two weeks, so hopefully we'll get another good look at the babies then.

We are more than half way through now - 21 weeks tomorrow. I am feeling really good lately. I get tired and a little uncomfortable if I do too much, but otherwise I feel great.

In the last few days I've even noticed that I can see a bit of movement on my belly if I'm laying very still. Unfortunately they seem to quiet down every time I call J over to try to feel it - but I'm sure he'll get to feel plenty of kicks soon enough.

that's the pregnancy update for now.

In other news...We spend this past weekend up in Victoria, BC. J was participating the annual Swiftsure Yacht Race on a friends boat. They ended up cutting the race short due to losing a few too many sails, so they were back at the dock a day early. And then of course proceeded to make a pretty good party out of hanging out at the dock. I've never been apologized to by drunk men more in my life, I think they were afraid they were offending me a bit by getting drunk, but really it was all highly entertaining - they are really a great group of guys, and were all having some good harmless fun letting off a little steam.

and in more other news... I have a new job! Well, sort of. It's actually working for a previous manager, doing much of the same work I was doing about a year and half ago - but now that work is in a different part of the company. I am very happy about this change. The group is the corporate advertising team - the group that does all the advertising for the entire company (it's a big company). So in the future it may mean that I will get to work on advertising projects for some other parts of the company that I haven't worked on before. And it gets me back to really doing what I enjoy - which I think will make coming back from maternity leave much easier.

Congrats on the "new" job! And of course for feeling good. Glad to hear everything is going well.

Seeing those babies move must be thrilling. SO happy for you, and can't wait to see the next ultrasound pix!

awesome news on the job change! You're right, it will make it a lot easier to head back in after the leave is over when you really like what you do and who you work for.

Have you started checking out daycare/nanny situations yet? With twins it will be harder to get into the daycare near work, trust me. Don't wait too much longer.
