We are either the craziest people in the world, or maybe the bravest? I don’t know.
Either way – we’re leaving tomorrow with the plan of spending 10 days on the sailboat with the babies. We’re not going far – just some local islands and bays in Puget Sound. Nothing more than a few hours away. We’re getting it down to the wire, but I think we’ll be ready to go tomorrow. We’ve done some last minute upgrades to plumbing and electrical, things that will hopefully make the trip a little easier and more comfortable, and hopefully those things will be finished by the time we want to leave.
I think I’ve figured out how we’re going to keep everybody contained and safe for playing and sleeping. And I think I’ve got the right amount of food and clothes for everyone (probably way too much). Hopefully the weather will cooperate – it’s always cool this time of year and that’s just fine, I’m just hoping it’s not pouring down rain.
I’ll try to send a few updates from my phone to blog. Hopefully they are fun updates – not desperate cries for help!
