Blogging help?

so while I wait for the results of my second beta - can y'all help me with a couple of blogging questions:

1. How do I see how many people (or who) are visiting my blog?

2. How do I see what google searches have led people to my blog?

I see many of you mention both these things occasionally, and I would like to do this but don't know how. Help is appreciated.

thanks!

www.sitemeter.com

They provide HTML code that you can drop into your template that tracks who is coming to your site, where they have been referred from, their geography, how long they visit, etc.

It's pretty cool.
there are others out there, this is the one I use.

statcounter.com is another I like to use and I recommend it highly.

Whatever you decide to install (you can install more than one), the data won't be picked up until that moment of installation.

I use google analytics and it is great. You see maps of the world with dots where your readers are located, you see how they came to your blog, what words they used for their search, etc...
