the alien belly - 33 weeks 4 days

Sitting up in bed this morning - watching my belly, is like watching some kind of alien freak show. Some people say that babies move less in the last couple months, because they run out of room. Well not these two - they are pushing and shoving all over the place. My belly contorts like crazy - one minute it's all bulged out on one side, and the next minute all bulged out on the other side. It's freaky. But very cool.

And baby A's feet are so low - sometimes if I put my hand way down low on the belly - like at my hair line, where my pubic bone should be - I can actually feel these little legs and feet moving around way down in there. It's wierd.

Tomorrow is our first NST. I am very interested to see what that's all about.

Jake doesn't play soccer as much as he used to but he does still make so pretty big movements in there. I can only imagine if there were two pushing each other and you around. It is so cool to be able to feel through your belly that you are touching a foot or a thigh or even identify a little butt crack!

Mine continued to move all around right up until they took them out. It was so cool to see my belly move like that and like jaimie said, to realize what you're touching too.

The NSTs aren't that bad - just got to keep those babies on - mine always moved around so much that they kept going off the monitor.

Hey Carol, so great to hear that everything's going so well with your little ones and that they're kicking up a storm. Not long to go now, wow! If you have any left over girls names, chuck them my way, I'm stumped for those LOL.

I only have a singleton pregnancy to compare and she moved around all the time. She was a big kicker. I remember commenting the night before I went into labor that she was trying to find another exit.

Good luck at the NST. Considering how much they are moving around, sounds like you'll pass with flying colors.

It is SO neat that our pregnancies are so similar so far. My belly's doing that contorting thing too - I can't always tell which baby I'm feeling. And I'm feeling feet/knees etc. around my belly button and in my ribs. Must be a strange feeling down below!

I hope your NST was uneventful today - as I'm sure it was. I find them pretty entertaining and can never manage to read during them, like I intend to.
