almost seems to easy

Met with the RE on wednesday. FET scheduled for June. Just like that.

It almost seems to easy.

I was wierd to be there. That old place with so much hope, and letdowns, and sadness and happiness. Everyone was happy to see us, of course I took photos of the twins. I don't think they get too many people with twins coming back for more. But they are happy to oblige. The doc made a little joke about "we don't make judgements on what size family someone wants to have", and then went on to give us some of her opinions about the california octuplets case - opinions about the doc, not the mother. It was interesting, and a little suprising that she was so chatty and candid - I recall her being all business before. But she seemed much chattier than before.

Anyway - the cycle. We said we were thinking June would be ideal (allows me to not be too pg to travel for thanksgiving, and would give us a spring baby, and exactly 2.5 years between the kids). Of course we know better than most that "ideal" doesn't always happen, but hey, you can't cure a life long planner. So I try to plan.

anyway - I'll start BCPs in April, Lupron after that, then supression check late may, and if all goes well we'll have a transfer around the first week in June. We agreed to transfer 2 - she thought that was just fine given my stellar pregnancy and the fact that we are not opposed to having twins again. We have 6 in the freezer, so we'll thaw until we get two and go for it.

that's it. seems so simple. I got a packet in the mail the very next day with the schedule, prescriptions, etc.

gotta run, baby waking from nap now.

Can't hurt to dream about planning a baby. Hopefully the rest will go just as smoothly as this part!

Oh how exciting! As for planning cycles/births, I didn't think the first FET after the twins would be successful either given that it took a full year after going back to trying for a second to get the twins. You just never know....

woohoo!! i'm so excited for you! i wonder if it's nice for the docs dealing with us return clients and they feel they can loosen up knowing there is happiness between us instead of just all the sadness?
